Super Special Shabbat this Week!

This Shabbat's going to be big! "But-but-but aren't all Shabbats equally special??" you may ask...

Nope, that's just what we tell them when they're little.

This  one is a cut above, for a few reasons:

1)  Y-Love, whose show tore apart ghetto shul during Jazz Fest is coming back as part of the Festival Sepharade (http://www.sefarad.ca/festivalsefarad2010/), and not only is he playing  at the shul on saturday night (starts at 9, only $7 for students!), but him and Diwon are' going to be spending Shabbat with us too!  Lucky for us, it is NOT assur to spit hot fire on Shabbat. We hope you'll join us to meet these amazingly inspiring, and brilliantly talented, musicians.

2) Second of all, the meals are going to be wholly dreamed up and concocted by the man himself- ARI RESNIKOFF! It should be delish...also lunch is being sponsored by Yonatan's parents, Jeffrey Lipsitz and Judy Laxer! Wooooooo!

3)The Safta's in town! Woooo, Dena's mom is visiting...could there be another guest from some sunny state as well?

huge S³ side note:  Ari won't actually be concocting it all by himself, he's only one man...would you like to help? He'll be at the shul from Thursday night-Friday...e-mail him at ariel.resnikoff@gmail.com

second huge S³ caveat: We'll also need people's help dishwrecking RIGHT after Shabbat ends, and people for (wo)manning the bar and the door for Saturday night...do you like having the responsibility of handling large amounts of dishes, money and/or alcohol? Then e-mail R' Leib or Dena!
